Chris Lynn likes to think that he is a trumpeter, horn player, and conductor. Every now and then he even pretends to play some jazz! Chris is currently a musician and co-conductor with the Hornell Area Wind Ensemble. He is also a member of the Corning Area Community Band, Sterling Brass Quintet, the Southern Tier All Star Jazz Band, Hornell Little Band, and a handful of other small ensembles. Additionally he teaches various instrumental lessons at The Music Store in Wayland, NY and at the ARC of Steuben in Bath, NY. For much of the year, Chris works at the Genesee Country Village and Museum as a museum educator. He earned his undergraduate degree in Music Composition at SUNY Geneseo and a graduate degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. Chris lives in Dansville, NY with his lovely, intelligent, and very talented wife, Bevin, and several cats of varying degrees of cuteness.
